Carbon Reduction Plan

Carbon Reduction Plan (PPN 06/21 Compliant)

Miller Freeman & Sons (Nottingham) Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Our Carbon Reduction Plan has been developed in accordance with Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21 and the associated Government reporting standards. The plan sets out our baseline emissions position, reduction targets, and the measures we are implementing to reduce emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 activities. The plan includes:

• Our baseline emissions position (2024–2025)
• Science-aligned near-term and long-term reduction targets
• A commitment to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030
• A commitment to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 42% by 2030
• Planned and completed carbon reduction initiatives
• Director-level approval and sign-off

Our environmental commitments are supported by our UKAS-accredited ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, which provides a structured framework for identifying, managing and reducing environmental impacts across our operations.

In addition, our ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) systems ensure that environmental improvement, governance, risk management and continual improvement are embedded within our wider business operations.

We are committed to monitoring and reporting our emissions annually and continually improving our environmental performance in support of national and NHS Net Zero objectives.
